I did these sketches today. Some days I don't feel like I can lay a line down to save my life, much less the life of a character. But today, for some reason, everything was working really well. These are updated versions of what my group of safari characters will probably soon become (the whole group can be found at brettbrooks.com under the Illustrations section). You can see the progression in the characters from then until now. Exciting!

the safari stuff definitely has new life in it. the badger and the lizard look awesome - i really love the shot of the frog with the open mouth. of course, the other stuff looks good too, but i've said that before.
